    BIG BATTLE FOR DUTCH ACE LOPES

    DUTCH goal machine Cecilio Lopes is in the middle of a three-club transfer battle - with Cardiff and Barnsley fighting Derby for his signature.

    Spies from all three clubs saw Lopes score two and make another couple for Dordrecht at the weekend - and the first to offer £200,000 will land him.

    Lopes (above) is a free agent next summer but fancies a move to England now and his promotion-chasing side are prepared to sell at the right price.

    So not us then!

    Top of the table Derby, play-off chasing Cardiff or relegation threatened Barnsley - the choice is yours!

    From Derby County Mad last Friday

    A tug of war seems to be developing between the Rams and The Hornets for Dutch Ace. Cecilio Lopes

    <img src ="http://pictures.footymad.net/upload/181/321392-2.jpg">

    Late bids before next Wednesday's transfer window closure sees Derby County and Watford going for Dutch Second Division striker Cecilio Lopes.

    Lopes who is 27 has been prolific this season and has a handsome total of 18 goals from 24 games so far.

    Watford have bid for the striker in a desperate attempt to stay in the Premiership but it looks like the Rams could be in pole position to land the striker given their present position on top of the Championship.

    Although Lopes will be a free agent at the end of this season, the Rams are likely to table a bid of around £200,000 to secure his services in the push for promotion from the Championship.

    It's Not Where...........

    the three of us are in the league that is important. It's a case of being the first to bid 200,000 for him. Would be nice to have another international hero. We haven't had one since Hristov :D :D :D
