    Enjoy.....

Barnsley have an eye on the play offs and are in very good form,a difficult game ahead, but think we can get something from it
    1-1

Hard to predict which QPR side will turn up, but Barnsley have been transformed under their new manager took charge in October (and I think got their first win against us).
They are a today hardworking side that are on form and chasing the play off's which is good for us as we have played better against the promotion chasing sides than those fighting to stay up.

    Not optimistic about this.
    Always wary of Barnsley.

Tbf to Barnsley they fully deserve to be winning and I can see why they are positioned where they are ,close to the play offs.

2nd to everything they win 1st and 2nd ball.

Personally I think we’re fortunate to only be 1 down
midfield done nothing and defended like start of the season

had chances not taken them I’d get willock on for ball, credit to Barnsley they look well drilled

Very impressed with Barnsley , they are a well drilled side , still feel we have a goal in us though but I can see why they are a form team .

We're up against it tonight a well drilled team with better skills than us

They been all over us all night. We don't have any space or time

Have to agree with the commentary Barnsley have imposed their game on us and we haven’t been good or brave enough to play our game .Getting taught a lesson tonight.

They got a game plan, move the ball very well defend really quick keeper sweeps up the route 1 and we’ve got no idea how to counteract it

If these make play offs they could be dark horses to go up

Barnsley hardly had to break into sweat ,so easy for them tonight,we have been so poor .

Out worked , out fought and out thought , credit to Barnsley very impressed, we have been well beaten and I haven’t said that much this season.

Barnsley are a very tough fit team, not spectacular but they all know their job, basically snuffed us out, could be tough to beat if they make play offs.

Well beaten tonight , take our medicine and move on .

    That's just brilliant to read.

Commentator for them right at the beginning, said we were a team that no one was taking seriously.

Then said we will press them like mad.

After 10 minutes seemed surprised that we were..... erm.... pressing lol

Their full time Facebook status is full of praise for us too and someone on about Lyndon Shytes with one outfield goal all season.

Sorry, I gotta post this one as well....

"Who remembers those halcyon days of the giddy past when we’d look at the fixture list and see that next up was Barnsley at home and think, “Oh goody, three points”...?"

    Quality... :)

I thought the QPR commentators were very complimentary to us, knew their stuff and though obviously wanted their team to win, they conceded our tactics and energy, enthusiasm and bits of good passing skill when needed, were excellent.
Good reaction in the main from the QPR fanbase

QPR really do have their entertaining posters...loved this one and credit to the poster...reight made me laugh

It was 1874 and Zebediah Ivanhoe Scrimshaw was reeling after being laid off from Bickerthwaites Clog Factory after 10 years service.
'Unemployed. On t'scrag 'eap at the age o' 17' he sighed to Hector his faithful whippet as he trudged wearily down roads that would later be copyrighted by Hovis.* Even putting another ferret down his trousers couldn't lift his gloom. It helped but only briefly. It were no good. He'd heard that a young man of action could make his fortune down int' that there London - mebbe there'd be a place for a lad such as him, a hearty cherub of a lad with only a hint of tuberculosis, a squint and an orthapaedic clog. He packed his bag, said goodbye to his 19 siblings and got onto the first train South...

Today, visitors from Barnsley are equally as dazzled by the sights, sounds and smells of that there London. The running water. The electricity. The complete lack of incesant brass band music. It all adds up to a heady assault on the senses. And yet, the hopes and dreams of Zebediah Ivanhoe Scrimshaw are still very much evident in the coal-streaked faces of the Barnsley team that come looking for fame, glory or a chip and gravy barm cake. As manager Valerian Ismael says 'It'd be easer for a Grimethorpe pigeon fancier t' gerrint Belper whippet racin' club'house than t' gerra win theer'.

    2-0 Rangers.

Mind you I do think he's confusing Yorkshire with Lancashire with Derbyshire, especially around the "barm cakes"
It comes with never going North of the M25
"Here be dragons and all that, on their maps"

An even better one from a pretty thoughtful fan..

I thought they were absolutely fantastic. Super high tempo, give you zero time on the ball, proper team unit, brilliantly coached, everybody knowing exactly what they were supposed to be doing. Direct, sure, but certainly not in a boring Pulis-style way where it's just lumped down the field and a set shape and set pieces, they're creative in the right areas, with very talented players. Mowatt, who I've been talking about for fcking years, Chaplin, Woodrow, Styles, certainly better than anything we've got.

I'd far rather watch a team like that, with the tempo and the physicality and the speed, with the nice stuff in the right areas, than a team trying to maintain 70% possession by nonsing around in neutral areas. I couldn't watch Neil Harris or Pulisball either, but there's a happy medium and Barnsley look very happy within it. They were fantastic, best team we've played, and thoroughly deserved the win.

The question we should be asking is how they're able to recruit that team, and that manager (and the managers before him), and coach them that well, on that budget, and we're not. Relying on loans who can't play three games a week, while being absolutely run off the park by Barnsley.

Love these posts mate, please keep them up.

Some very nice comments from the QPR guys but I actually thought they made a better game of it than many teams we've faced recently. I thought they were a bit unfortunate not to have scored another one or two. I thought they were a good team, I thought they were a fair team, and after reading that I think they've got some very fair fans, who maybe are even a bit too fair. I hope their form picks up.

    Yes, I'm nodding at this.

Said the same to our kid during the game. That QPR are probably the best effort against us in last few games. To the point they didnt actually give up and at least tried to match us for pace and press. And actually made more chances against us in probably the previous five games combined.

That alone deserves a mention, cos other teams just didnt have a clue, these did, but still fell short. And that is what is so brilliant about tonight

Far superior to Blackburn’s attempt at humour

I’m liking QPR fans. They’ve been very complementary on both of their forums.

Think nows a good time to introduce them to gravy?
