They made a second successful application to extend the notice and it is believed urgent talks are being held today to determine the next step. However, unless matters can be resolved today, it is feared that the step into administration will become inevitable, possibly with an announcement tomorrow. Chairman Denis Coleman says he has been seeking investors and had said he was hopeful that something would happen. However, the clock is now ticking and the situation has become critical. Former director Dino Maccio, who stepped in with Coleman to save the club in May 2006, and another former director, Alan Cartledge, recently had a meeting with club representatives over a possible takeover by unnamed potential investors. What do you think? Post your comments below. Maccio and Cartledge are believed to have continued pursuing the possibility of a takeover and they claim it is a serious bid to do so. If the club is put into administration, then they will lose 10 points immediately and this would come just before Saturday's clash with their closest play-off rivals Chesterfield. A Football League spokesman said: "It is disappointing when clubs have gone into administration but ultimately clubs are responsible for running their own financial affairs." In 2005 former chairman Ken Booth took ownership of Millmoor in return for writing off £3m he had paid in to run the club. Coleman and Dino took over in May 2006 with <div id="ds-mpu"></div>the club wiping off over £3m of debts with a company voluntary arrangement which meant starting last season with a 10-point deduction. </div></div>
