Barnsley go into tomorrow's game against Cardiff City at Oakwell with just one win on the board but manager Simon Davey insists confidence is high - and keeper Luke Steele agrees. After Saturday's 1-0 loss at Blackpool, Steele said: "I think that's probably the best we've played so far. The match before, against Derby, we didn't play well and we won; this time we've played well and we didn't win. That's the cruelty of football but there were a lot of positives. The gaffer has just said that we've done a lot of good things. "We need to turn it around. It's a tight league and every point is vital. At our ground not many teams come and beat us. It's good in a way that we have a game so soon after Blackpool." Teale made three appearances for Barnsley during a four-week loan period, including one as a sub in Saturday's loss. Jamal Cambell-Ryce looks set to make his first appearance in the first-team squad this seaon for the Oakwell club tomorrow having recovered from a dislocated elbow. Hugo Colace is on course to make his home debut, having played his first game for the club at Bloomfield Road. Cardiff famously defeated Barnsley 1-0 last term in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. Said Steele: "I'll always remember that they denied us an FA Cup Final but at the end of the day tomorrow is just another Championship game. "I think everyone realises that you can lose two or three on the trot and then win two or three to climb up the table." What do you think? Post your comments below.

Yes, thank God JCR is fit again....... really missed his pace, and with Da Silva coming back too it's like 2 new signings.
If El Haimour's performance was owt like how he played against Derby Then I did more then him and I was sat at home listening to Radio Sheffield
RE: If El Haimour's performance was owt like how he played against Derby It was. He's lightweight .... and a proper weed ! Scared stiff of incoming tackles.
Steele said: "I think that's probably the best we've played so far" Is that true?
Judging by the doom & gloom on here, if thats our best, then god help 'em if they have a bad one.

There's not much competition for 'the best we've played so far' We'd lost 4 of the other 5 games we'd played and in the one we won we were absolutely gash for 70 minutes.
RE: There's not much competition for 'the best we've played so far' I liked the "The gaffer has just said that we've done a lot of good things" comment.
Davey is obviously saying the same things to the players as he does in his post match comments to the website.
And the players obviously believe him. The fans aren't quite as gullible at the minute.

Some of the crap statements... ...coming out of the club (players and manager) are delusional and extremely worrying.
