Kozluk, 30, has made 12 appearances for the Reds since signing from Sheffield United in June. He is desperate to play - but is unlikely to be risked with a busy festive period ahead. Meanwhile, Oakwell crowd favourite Dominik Werling - who h as filled in for Kozluk but is suspended- wants to extend his stay at Barnsley. The German left back's loan spell from Turkish side Sakaryaspor expires next month. Talks between the clubs are due to take place but Werlin

g, who had his 25th birthday today, has made it plain he wants at least to see out the Championship season at Barnsley. He has started 18 games this season under Davey and made the left back position his own in Kozluk's absence. Werling, Everton's Anderson de Silva, Lewin Nyatanga and Jon Macken could all leave Barnsley in January. Nyatanga and Macken could both be recalled from their loan spells by new Derby County manager Paul Jewell. Barnsley boss Simon Davey is keen to retain all four and is expected to look for an additional striker when the transfer window opens in January. Werling will be serving his second suspension of the season on Saturday.
[*]Barnsley [/list]academy lads are in FA Youth Cup third round action tonight. so which one is right...would be good if the club could say summat...unlikely as that seems not when they can keep us in the dark as is the norm.
