LEICESTER City have stoked up fans' fervour ahead of Saturday's clash with Barnsley. Both clubs need a win to clear the shadow of relegation - if results elsewhere don't go for them. New Leicester owner Milan Mandaric has laid on 12 free coaches to transport supporters to Oakwell. Yesterday all seats on the bus were taken and over half of the 5,000 match tickets allocated to Leicester were sold. For both clubs, a win guarantees Championship survival. Both will escape relegation if Hull lose at Cardiff on Saturday or Leeds do not beat Ipswich Town at Elland Road. Barnsley are eager to avoid travelling to West Brom on the last day of the season needing a draw or more to extend their stay in the Championship. West Brom heaped more pressure on themselves to remain in the play-off hunt last night, surrendering a 2-0 lead before losing 3-2 at Burnley. Barnsley have confirmed that they have released midfielder Nicky Wroe and that Nathan Jarman has returned from loan at Worksop. Wroe had been on loan at Bury. n Meanwhile, fresh fears that Wednesday could lose Steve Watson have arisen after a dramatic new twist in the Championship promotion chase. West Brom slipped up last night at Burnley and had centre-half Paul McShane sent off. It could leave the Owls waiting on the result of an appeal by Albion over the dismissal before they learn whether suspension-hit West Brom will recall versatile Watson from his loan after all. If he is wanted by the Hawthorns club it would be a big blow to Wednesday as they face their last two matches amid fresh hope of qualifying for the play-offs. Both Wolves and West Brom lost over the last two days, leaving the Owls still only two points off the play-off places with two games left. Last Updated: 24 April 2007
