Barnsley were beaten by Leicester City 1-0 in their last home game of the season on Saturday. Leeds United's failure to defeat Ipswich guaranteed survival for the Oakwell club in their first season since promotion. With one week of the season left, manager Simon Davey has to decide his squad for the next campaign. Several of the current team are out of contract in the summer and so far only Bobby Hassell, Martin Devaney and Robert Atkinson have agreed new deals. Among those who could leave is goalkeeper Nick Colgan. He commented: "Simon will obviously decide who he wants here next year and who he doesn't so we'll wait and see what happens. The most important thing is that the club has stayed in the Championship, not what happens to Nick Colgan, Daniel Nardiello or anyone like that. "Paul Hayes, Antony Kay ... there's a huge amount of players who are out of contract at the club this summer. The ball is in the club's court as to how they want to move forward." Hayes and Marc Richardson could be the first to leave. Hayes is thought to be wanted by Southend United while Port Vale could be poised to offer Richards terms. Davey was giving little away. "As I've said before, and I'll keep repeating myself, we don't talk about contracts in the Press," he stressed. "Players are under negotiations and when they're signed and agreed you'll be the first to hear." </div>
So its three signings and we've got six players out of contract.....does this mean the squad is being reduced
