The 12th new recruit of the summer will be a defender who is at another English club. Barnsley hope to reveal his name today or tomorrow. Meanwhile, Reid is coming to terms with a three-match suspension after his red card for violent conduct at Colchester United. The Barnsley skipper was alleged to have elbowed veteran striker Teddy Sheringham. Referee Andy Hall did not hesitate in showing the second red card of the game, having already sent off Colchester keeper Dean Gerken. Davey said: "He led with his arm and he caught him but it wasn't intentional." The ban is an especially bitter blow for Reid as it will rule him out of the second round Carling Cup tie at Newcastle United a week tomorrow. He will also miss Championship matches against Plymouth on Saturday at Oakwell and a week later at West Brom. Meanwhile boss Davey will be keeping an anxious eye on international action this week. Young centre half Lewin Nyatanga is in the Welsh squad for tomorrow's friendly against Bulgaria. Grant McCann has been selected for the Northern Ireland party going to Liechentenstein for a Euro qualifier tomorrow and goalkeeper Nick Colgan is in the Irish squad playing in Denmark. <ul> [/list]</div>
RE: Rob Page. nt "In early 2007, Page was involved in a training incident at Coventry City, as a result of which Michael Doyle lost three teeth and Page broke a bone in his hand." Likes a bit of a scrap.
