An accident during yesterday's squad workout has thrown a shadow over Foster's FA Cup semi final preparation, while manager Simon Davey described Nardiello's injury as a tight hamstring. With centre back Lewin Nyatanga cup tied, a fit Foster would be certain to play against Cardiff on Sunday. Nardiello played well against Burnley on Saturday, creating a goal for Brian Howard, and has a strong case to start in the cup showdown alongside Kayode Odejayi ahead of Istvan Ferenczi. Striker Jon Macken is also cup tied. The players took today off and Davey will assess Foster and Nardiello ahead of training tomorrow morning. They will leave for London on Friday and have a walkabout tour of Wembley planned. Davey and his players will face TV cameras, radio reporters and the Press tomorrow. A session for the media goes ahead in the afternoon. All but a dozen or so of 800 extra Wembley tickets were sold yesterday at Oakwell and the club say that over 60 coaches will leave the club for Wembley at 9am. Meanwhile, former Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie and Huddersfield have parted company by mutual consent. Director of Football Development Gerry Murphy will take over as caretaker manager while the search for a replacement begins. </div>
saw that article myself. is a nightmare if Foster can't play. most reliable performer. Nads is a shame if he was going to turn up, but Coulson will do the business...
I'm just hoping that after Sunday the pressure and expectation is off (at least until the final..) and we can get down to business in the league.
What's going wrong? Why have we been so awful since December?. In away games we were winning and drawing and putting up a real fight everytime. Nowadays, I go to away games and there is a heavy expectation that we will lose. It permeates everything and no matter how hard you get behind them there is THAT air of "Oh, we always lose away games anyway" It worries me that no matter what the result, we will either lose all the adrenalin and fight and go out of the division well and truly whimpering or, should we win, then everything will once again revolve around the FA CUP and league form will continue to suffer. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait until Sunday and if we win and put up a good fight I'll be ecstatic, but if only we were safe and free of relegation worries the day would hav been so much better. Instead, it's hard to enjoy it 100% knowing we have to play Watford away on Tuesday. Bloody hell
I'm having a little wander down to watford (on the wednesday isn't it ?) so hoping for some spirit to be shown.
Fans get behind them, but no one seriously believes they will win. It's on the pitch that there seems to be no sense of belief.
We would have won the last three matches in December if it hadn't been for vile bigoted arbiters. Fact
Nads in injury scare? No. Really? How did that happen? I'm genuinely shocked. Never thought I'd see the day.
