Barnsley boss Simon Davey has just a couple of games to save his job. He was close to the axe last weekend before the 4-1 rout of Doncaster Rovers, but insiders say it may just be a stay of execution from the club's unhappy board. The Oakwell club have looked at alternatives, with Oldham boss John Sheridan and out of work Ian Holloway among those mentioned. Davey took the tykes to the FA Cup semin-finals last term but they flirted with relegation and are in the bottom three of the championship with two wins in 10.
RE: We need to look higher than the likes of Sheridan. nt Exactly but they are the kind of managers we will get
No need to look any further than local for a good Manager Mark Robbins from Rovrum he worked wanders with nowt (Y) (Y) (Y)
RE: No need to look any further than local for a good Manager although Mark Robbins has done well, it's at a lower level and with a club & squad he knows inside out. Most folk here will demand experience and proven ability at our level, as davey was seen as an unacceptable risk from day 1. Holloway might be the only candidate that'll get a fair crack from our fans
Their lazy reporters source??? Probably this site or another. I would take owt they say with a pinch of salt.
RE: No need to look any further than local for a good Mnager Lass sits behind us and bangs on about Holloway every week. Apart from being funny in post match interviews, what are his strong points? Im not convinced.
Everyone seems to miss the point that Cryne made this week There is no way any self respecting manager would join us
