Probably Swindon, MK Dons, Hartlepool and Walsall (perhaps Yeovil if they have a bad run in) is there anyone worth poaching?

Adam Boyd? Joel Porter? Izale McLeod? Cureton? Westwood?

    What about . . .

    . . . Wilson?

    Let's be honest

    We've all thought about it.

Not done himself many favours this season though, has he?

    Takes a step back

To be honest, I've not really thought about it and that was only really meant as a joke.

Personally, I think that we need to stick with a manager for a few years and give him a chance to build something rather than continuing with the recent policy of replacing him when the ashtrays in his office need emptying. And anyway, when have second spells in management ever been as good as the first? And, I'm sure Paul D will know, but I don't think Wilson started anything like as well as Ritchie has.

So I'd stick with Ritchie pretty much regardless of who was available, more on principle than out of any strongly-held conviction about his management ability.

Of course it could be argued that Wilson started at a higher level....

Interestingly, Wilson won more matches, but gained less points. I suppose that says something about Ritchie's side being able to scrap for a point?

Yep, Ritchie has made us very hard to beat, which IMHO is every good manager's first step. Machin also started by making us hard to beat, and looked like he was on to a good thing for a while, until he went stark raving mad and decided to field as many centre halves at once as humanly possible.

He went mad after he released Futcher (horrendous error), the season after got rid of Tiler and Shotton and then decided to plug the gaps with lots of substandard centre halves all at once to compensate for one good one.

yep, only two of them any good but unfortunately both completely crocked, hence why no-one else would touch them (Gorre and Hayward)

    Oh yes, me too

But back last season when we were hiring I wouldn't have come to the same conclusion.

If Milton Keynes go down I suspect he'll be sacked. That's what loyalty get ya!

I was looking at Paul's stats the other day and noticed that Andy has by far the best record for not losing of ALL the managers we've ever had.

They say the first place to start in building a succesful team is at the back, and on that basis you can't fault him.

    Adam Boyd

knows where the back of the net is

Azael Mcleod would be better becasue hes too quick for most defenders and knows where the net is, an unrealistic target though, Wolves offered loads for him in January.

    spot on................

losing less than 1 in 4 is a good foundation- a 20 goal a season strker would help
