there is a big article about the Rovrum situation.. and includes the following: "Matthew Dunham, of the accountants BDO Stoy Hayward, handled the administrations of Bury and Barnsley, both of which looked hopeless but found a solution." Makes it sound like Dunham was actually responsible for finding the deal which secured the future of the reds. Thats not the way that I see it... Sean Lewis, Peter doyle. This was a debarcle of Dunhams making and i feel that if it wasn't for Cryne actually stepping in who knows where we would be going on a saturday afternoon. There are many unanswered questions about the administration and the role of some of the individuals who made short sighted decisions about the reds future in my opinion.
yeah... as i understand it, he made done-em fully aware of this plan aswell...hardly securing the best deal!!!
RE: yeah... I was sure(hoping) someone would write a book about the Oakwell saga. Some great characters involved, and an intriguing tale to tell.
The Millers' BBS? Does anyone know what is the Millers equiv of this BBS? I just had a look but couldn't find any such place. I feel duty bound to speak to the them about the ineptitude of Matt Dunham. The man who made a mountain range out of a steep hill. We seem to be recovering now (how many years has it been). We had Patrick Cryne prepared to step in.... and yet he had to fight tooth and nail to spend millions to save his BFC. And now it seems that Matt Dunham gets kudos for saving BFC. He is to accountancy what Basil Fawlty is to the hospitality industry. As a football fan I feel honour bound to make them aware that Matt Dunham's mistakes cost us dearly in many ways. Does anyone have a link to the main Rotherham BBS?
RE: The Millers' BBS? maybe I jumped the gun here, I just read the post again and it does not say that Matt Dunham is involved at Rotherham. But give me the Millers site anyway, Matt Dunham should have a bell around his neck!
Not sure if its the main one... but it appears highly popular if it isn't....
http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?tno=450
