Bit of a statement by our Ben, maybe a "best loan signing the club has made" since you've been at the club. The two you mention don't come close to the best. http://www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk...-loan-market-with-fantastic-long-set-to-leave
I would say historically Drinkwater, Steele, Lumsden and Chopra were fantastic, but certainly in recent history O'Grady and Long have been exceptional. Gutted Long is leaving.
he's speaking based on his time at the Club. i wouldn't expect him to start reeling off players from 10 and 15 years ago, that he's got no idea about. the piece is about praising kevin long, and thanking him for commitment you rarely see from loan players. nice words ben. fair play.
Nar, **** off l'm not having that, thereev would have been all over this with his pants round his ankles.
I'd like to think that the club have loan defensive targets pencilled in to join us once Long goes back to Burnley.
i don't think we're ****** like. he's still only one player, and our pressing everywhere else has taken a lot of pressure off the centre halves. big opportunity for robbo to step up. i think he's got it in him, it's mebbi just consistency he needs to work on. i'm expecting to see long at ashton gate on monday morning..
I think Roberts would benefit massively from playing in a settled side. When he last had a chance Johnson was chopping and changing every game and it affected him
tend to agree. even long was hit and miss in his first few games. we've got a settled XI and formation now and everyone knows their jobs. alfie has improved massively alongside long as well, so i'm hoping he can just slot in. if we get the robbo that played against everton, i think we'll be fine. plus that throw is like a missile..
