The NSDAP, or National Socialist German Workers Party, the ones who had the bloke with dodgy tash as leader, were nominally socialist in some of their policies. This was done to confuse and attract voters. It did not stop them plunging Europe and then the world into war nor did it stop them massacring at least 8 million souls in work camps and death camps.
