I put 40 but meant 30

    Still fecked probably.

    fine of £60 + 3 points

but last time I got one my insurance went up by about £50 per year as well so total cost around £300.

37mph is a bit tight though

    It's about £300 for three points ...

passed on to someone else - you have never been in that car when it passed the speed camera, plenty of my mates have.

there is a black market for points.

Just get a small bald man

    in

slap his bonce a bit, some birds with big tits and 70's style hairy triangles, put your normal ridiculous cd's on, stand with a hose pipe (side on) and go,

Benny Hill? Over-rated. EASY! EASY! EASY!

I might know someone that will take £100 per point btw.

    mio cugino

I remember my cousin getting pulled over for a similar offence.

It was nearly midnight and the officer issued a fixed penalty and reminded her that she was in a "school zone". Sensibly, she did not take the bait by asking howe many shool children would be walking the streets at that hour.....

    30mph + 10% + 2 = 35mph (got done for this).

36 in a 30 zone, apparently they allow you 10% + 2mph above the limit. I got done for doing 36mph and was told that they have to have a cut off point or else they would give leaway to everybody and no one would ever get done.

    Cost me plus points.

Dont know if the above is absolutly true but it is only what I was told ??

    how to get off......

if you get a speeding fine don't just give in and pay it like most people

Totally ignore any letter you receive. When you get the reminder totally ignore that one too. If you don’t get anything else within six months that’s the end of it. If you receive a court summons then either turn up and explain or send in a letter that although you were probably speeding you always drive with care and attention to safety and that you never purposely break the speed limit. Also you can't believe that documents of such importance are not sent post registered post. Therefore needing a signature’ as the court summons was the first you have heard of this offence. That if you had received the other documents of which copies are attached to the summons then this matter would have been dealt with weeks since without the need for court action.

case will most likely be thrown out of court or at worste you will get the original £60 3 points and no court costs.

    I've heard that before

I think I'm fecked but it pissed me off even more seeing as though I drive past the cnuting thing about 4 times a day.

I was actually thinking about whether the mouse trap had worked instead.

I reiterate that the mouse is going to feel my wrath even more so now.

It has still to be caught. 3 days and counting.

    Don't count on it

Do you think that little scam hasn't been tried before?

If you've been caught fair and square there's no way out.

A court appearance can well include costs, whatever the outcome.

    RE: Don't count on it

yes by many many people i know including myself twice. speeding fines a supposed to be sent out registered post. but not content with raking in loads of cash from fines they cut costs by sending them out second class

Well, speaking as a solicitor you can expect a good telling off, a stiff kick in the shorts and £50 parnd fine.

    Same happened to me

I got caught on the one at top of Harborough Hills, know it's there but on way back from Asda ar lass was wittering on, distracted me and then she says "camera!" just as I got to it!
Annoyed with myself cause I knew it was there and every other time slow down.

Just one of those things....how long do they stay on licence for anyway as it was May 2003
