For months we've known that the club haven't been happy with the restraints they've been under with Justsport, so much so they've bought themselves out of the contract a season early, so that they can take more control of the club shop, and offer a much wider range of merchandise. Have you seen the club shop ? It looks like it's been the victim of a ram raid, we still have just 3 scarves the exact same 3 we used to sell at £8 are now £10 each, maybe the price rise is to off set the effects of the ram raid if this is the case then I apologise, but fu'cking hell fire how hard is it to forward plan, we still only have one type of hat, one pin badge, one key ring, one car sticker, one design of mug, fu'ck all in the line of baby wear, very very limited home wear, the leisure wear is the same **** we've always had, now I know it's far too much to expect forward planning when it comes to player transfers and we have to wait until late July early August for the bulk of our new signings, but surely they could have put the wheels in motion for this 6 months ago everything at the club just seems unorganised to point it's shoddy
Did we definitely get out a year early and it didn't just end? By the way I agree about the club shop. I said on the grand opening that shelves were empty Edit: just checked. We signed a 4 year contract with just sport in March 2011 so it would have naturally ended when it did.
The Don said the original contract was for 3 years of Nike and 2 years of Avec when the deal was announced
It has been embarrassingly bad for many years, but it's alright, one day we'll finally sell those "I <3 BFC" thongs.
I think he might have got it wrong as I've just read a statement from the club and one from just sport where they both mentioned signing a four year deal. Also I thought Nike got changed to avec due to the relegation and Nike not providing shirts for league 1. That might be ******** though
Really? We honestly raised the price of a winter scarf during a summer that yesterday apparently gave us our 3rd warmest day ever?
Good thing about the first Nike deal was they paid us a set amount for three seasons for what they thought they'd make on shirt sales. They properly over estimated demand and so we got three years of decent income that didn't reflect sales.
So get yersen a scarf and a doormat together and you've got yersen some decent discount there on last season's prices. £3 saved. No need to thank me.
