Fulham Football Club this evening announced its decision to replace Chris Coleman as Manager with immediate effect. Chris Coleman has provided a fantastic service during his ten years at the Club and it is disappointing that the Club has no alternative but to part company. As a team and organisation Fulham Football Club has goals to attain and success to achieve and by no means can this be compromised. As part of the re-structure, Steve Kean will also be replaced with immediate effect.
After consultation with the Irish FA President Jim Boyce it is agreed that Lawrie Sanchez will join as Caretaker Manager for the remaining five Premiership games of the season.

I'm not surprised the Irish FA agreed to it Maybe Fulham should have checked with the Northern Irish FA though
Ah! The Northern Irish one is just called the Irish Football Association Whilst Eire's is the Football Association of Ireland
Yet another knee jerk reaction when things start to go a bit wrong. He's done a good job, Chris, with limited resources, can't see what more the board could expect without coughing up a few tens of millions to compete with the big spenders. Yet another riduculous sacking.
No surprises when it comes to managers being sacked but this one is a bit harsh IMO. He hasnt been given any money and has had to sell his more talented players (Boa Morte, Malbranque). Hows the bloke supposed to get his team competing in the PL? Am sure he will get another job before next season. Always seemed a decent manager to me and he talks sense.
