was talking about loan players and mate says we had a loan player at left back from Man Utd a few seasons back but couldn't remember who it was. I don't recall it at all. Anybody remember who it was? Ta IA
Eckersley is too recent - I thought John Curtis but not him either - I can't think of anybody else but he's convinced there was another
I think he's got him mixed up cos he wasn't thinking that far back only since we came down from the prem. I couldn't think of anyone, neither could his missus and the more wine we drank the fewer left backs we could remember!
Clayton Blackmore? He wasn't on loan and came from Middlesboro rather than Man U, but he played all over the park!
I think you might have cracked it there - except I don't think he was a left back or on loan but he was with Man U early on I think. Could be him but I think he's got it all cocked up and it's Carl Regan who was RB, not on loan and from Everton!
Blackmore was with Man U most of his career and played in every position at some stage. I think he did play left back a few times while at Barnsley. I was wondering whether he'd got Regan mixed up.
RE: John Curtis ? he was but where is he now? been searching the web & can't find him. wickepedia reckons he's on trial at Notts County after being released from QPR last year but he's not on the County website. If only we'd beaten the Tractor Boys that day we would've kept him (& a few others) a bit longer.
it was a good un Carl Regan! lol it was (nearly) the last of my M.Chapoutier Shiraz - first tried at the little creatures micro brewery in Freemantle. Only one bottle left. and it was Clayton Blackmore - confirmation text just in!!
Took us a long time to recover from that defeat We lost an awful lot that day - good players , missed out the chance of a bigger revenue
Average? He wasn't that good Did a good job of making Heckingbottom look half decent though. I remember him saying that he was used to playing pass and move football along side players with a lot more skill and wasn't used to the hoof it style at Barnsley. The stuck up silly b'stard. Where are you now Adam?
I was being kind I think he one decent game but 'headless chicken' would be the way I'd describe him. Pass and move my backside.
