I understand the 'activities' start at 1:30 pm. but does anyone know what the activities are? I don't want to turn up at half one, there be sod all to do, and freeze my gonads off for hour an half whilst my kid gets well and truly fed up. Couldn't find anything on the main site, so wonder if i should just turn up in time for the match.
I think the activities include the unlocking and opening of the turnstyles! Anyway, if you are over from Toronto I'd think this was balmy weather for you in February!
Think Face painting, and giving away of Wickes "clappers". I will be in the warmth of pub with my young un until about 2.45pm!! Might even paint her face myself!! (Sorry am I not entering into the spirit of this?)!!
I had an email from the club earlier in the week detailing all the stuff they were doing, I deleted it and can't remember the exact details but I was suitably impressed by the effort they were putting into the day.

DO you fancy being part of our brand new half time entertainment at Oakwell - On Me Shed Son? For your chance to play 'On Me Shed Son' simply text CLUB BARNS SHED to 88442. The Club have joined forces with Wickes, together with the Barnsley Building Society and Mitre, to launch our new half time entertainment - On Me Shed Son. How does it work? At half time a shed (with the roof removed) is carried onto the Oakwell pitch where two supporters, plucked via a fan competition will be waiting to play. The aim of the game is simple, chip as many football's into the roof of the shed as possible. Chip a ball into the roof of a shed and get yourself three points, come close and hit the shed and earn a single point while a miss gets you nothing. At the end of the season there will be a play off final with the top four players competing for the chance to win a state of the art kitchen from Wickes. What's more - Mitre will be donating a signed match ball while the Barnsley Building Society will open a Reds Saver Account for the winner after every game. For your chance to play 'On Me Shed Son' simply text CLUB BARNS SHED to 88442. The Official Barnsley FC Website will have a host of special competitions in the next few weeks as part of the build up to the Family Fun Day at Oakwell.
