When we have done well in the qualifying stages we're usually **** in the finals! The '88 Euros for example (4-1 away to Yugoslavia). And look what happened for the '82 World Cup.... lost to Switzerland and Norway when they didn't have much to offer, and then went on to beat France 3-1 in our first group stage. Went out without losing a game too!
