G1 phone

anyone got one? just got one today, whats the general concensus

There not too bad, im dissapointed you cant even take videos or send things Via Bluetooth. Touchscreen is excellent and the fact it has googlemail and instant messengers is fantastic, but the big downer is the battery (N)

 

No bluetooth!! wasn't aware of that, how much are replacement batteries?

 

It has bluetooth pal, but you just cant send anything through it. It is to be used for headsets and so on. A replacement battery i aint too sure pal. The android market is brilliant, i downloaded a few games & free music downloads. The way the phone flips is pretty cool and texting is actually much easier than on a normal phone.

i think it's great.

i can see the lack of file transfer via bluetooth and poor battery life turning folk off it but the web functions, slick operation and looks far outweigh the cons.

this is a 'sexy' looking and working phone.

android is great too

 

What offer did you get tobes, i think i've done ok but would be good to compair

 

i'm on an employee contract so get it half price.
currently on flext 35 with web'n'walk

 

£30 a month mate, get 90 pound to spend, the G1 and free web 'n' walk

I pay £30 for 140 quids worth of texts and calls, only used £12 in about 3 weeks

good phone too.

 

Those who have the phone are there any applications from android you would recommend?

 

Do any of you who have the phone know if there is an application i can down load to create folders, as my menu is clustered with games so could do with moving them all into one folder
