Unfortunate if true ......although I've never heard of him but then again I've never heard of most of the players before they come to BFC.......
apparently will be done in January if he's fit again. not really bothered at the moment as our midfield is doing well.
After reading up on the lad, it pretty much sums up his (albeit short) career so far. It was said that he was dubbed as 'the next Messi' when rising through the ranks at Barcelona, and after making 60+ appearances for Barca B and a handful for the first team, he was weirdly, released (even though a £20m buy out clause was installed in his contract). It was said that his recurring injury issues was one of the main decisions behind his release. It's also noted that he's not played many games for City's second string, and not once for the first team. Is this down to lack of quality? Or is it again, due to the fact that the young lad appears blighted with injury problems. This appeared to be a great opportunity for him to kick start his career, and maybe give us a timely little boost just before Christmas, but it seems par for the course that it's fallen through due to injury. My main gripe is: - why make the announcment that we'd signed him? Why make it so big and bold and bright before all the formalities and creases were ironed out? Seems a bit unprofessional to me, but, never mind. COYR
