Although it was founded in 2003, not the 1850's!

Using the yeast strain from Barnsley Bitter, which has been around since the 1850's (I think?), which is where they've got their wires crossed

This acorn thing seems to only apply to private members club and executive areas unless I read it wrong.

If so its a start in the right direction but wont get rid of tinned rubbish in the east stand bars, where us plebs drink, which is my particular area of concern.

Get rid of tinned rubbish won't ever happen. The catering company makes far too much from it. Reckon they'll be making two quid a can at least once over heads are covered.

Just if they got Acorn Barnsley Bitter in bottles in east stand would be decent

Thats just typical of this football club.Once again the fans get shafted by the Club.

Acorn is good enough for the "Elite" but not for the plebs.

The only way around this is to boycott the club bars. The ale they serve is awful and not fit to serve even De Das. Why people pay so much for the rubbish they serve is beyond me.

Looks like nowt to tempt me into Oakwell earlier.

I'm not keen on paying a membership fee to pay for the option of (probably) paying top dollar for beer (irrespective of origin)

Get it in the Eaststand bars and then I'll think the club mean business.

I think it's a step in the right direction, but it should be available to all fans - not just the members of Preedy's.

I find it odd that the club are constantly trying to segment fans who have similar desires/needs. You can't choose segments, you can only recognise that they already exist. There are obviously a lot of fans clamouring for real ale, forcing them to sign up for Preedy's isn't the way to reach them - it actually creates an additional barrier to being a successful initiative!

Preedy's is also a none starter if you take your kids to the match.
