Hi, My first post! I've been reading for a while. I don't get to to Oakwell much mainly southern away games. Anyway has anyone seen or heard anything about this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...sleys-Ganaye-shortlisted-role-St-Etienne.html I'm not a regular daily mail reader but it came up on NewsNow...
I’m not sure what people really expect GG to divulge. There seems to be this rather odd school of thought that the takeover and recruitment would be incredibly transparent if BM were at the helm when in reality it simply wouldn’t.
Mansfield got out regularly to meet fans at meetings. He was always on Radio Sheffield promoting us as the voice of the club. Let's not forget his charity work either. He got through the door a lot of our big sales in recent years. GG on the other hand you don't get much out of.
He’s not been hear even 6 months and looking to move on. Clearly must not be happy and probably the reason why not engaging with members of the public. Although I got the impression club staff like him. One way or another we are going to be on the hunt for a new CEO Now me thinks.
Yet as popular as Ben appears now , he got christened talking Ben & used to take regular stick on social media & GG seems to get the same treatment , it must go with the job !
It's not known whether he's interested yet. Just because he on that club's shortlist doesn't mean that much already. But since he had a hand in guiding the club through the takeover it makes sense that they're looking at him, since they're looking to change ownership as well (at least for a large part).
Unsure how things work in France, but to end up on a shortlist it’s because an individuals applied for the role.
Would be quite strange for him to leave so early into his tenure here. To come to a championship club after being COO of a French club shows drive and a willingness to achieve something outside of France, going back to France this quickly doesn't fit the bill.
. Love that you've put this quote in at the end of the post . You've got to be careful on here mate .. Welcome.
I wouldn’t trust The Mail to tell me the date still we have gone massively backwards in terms of fan engagement since Mansford left it is an area we need to improve.
I did wonder about his position with the takeover, its probably the most important role after the coach, and with it coming with the added responsibility of the purse strings I wouldn't be surprised if he was told to find another job.
