cop out.... can't knock his loyalty (very few and far between these days) but at 32, he still should have another 3/4 years in him left, and to conveniently retire rather than try and get his club back up from the ale house league it is, is one massive cop out (wnkr)
He's been injured most of season hasn't he? There was a presentation to him prior to Saturday's game, think it was already decided
in truth I think he's been on 1.5million a year so probably simply does not need the money or the trouble. No doubt l**ds cannot afford to pay him what he wants to stay.
I'm sure I read................... somewhere that he had a PRiddy clause in his contract which gave him £750000 when he retired-probably thought it best to take the money and run and it's a football debt so it has to be honoured even if they go into admin
