    Well, I haven’t watched MOTD in years. When I have seen him on TV during the major tournaments or finals he has come across as a bit entitled and smug. Time for somebody else to have a chance.

    Wish him all the best. Been a brilliant host for so long - it's always been perfect Saturday evening viewing with a few beers and a takeaway.

    I’ve always liked him.

    I often read people criticising his views but I don’t think I’ve ever read anything he’s posted & thought it was controversial.

    All the best to him.

    I’d like to see Mark Chapman get the gig next.

    Shame to see him go! Had a good run though. Mark Chapman is a good shout for the replacement.

    On impartiality - I don’t think it matters what he says on his personal twitter account, does it? He’s not a news reporter or journalist - where there could be a conflict between his opinion and impartial coverage - he’s a football presenter.

    Same. I think Alex Scott threatening to go live and work in America will get it her despite her being responsible for Football Focus getting their lowest ever viewing figures.

    It should go to Mark Chapman. He's been good ever since he used to co host on Radio 1 with Scott Mills many years ago.
