so if you are that good Gary why not dip into the lower leagues in England and power a club through to the top... If you are that good then it should be a walk in the park for you. Or do you need a huge cheque book like they have at ManUre.

Grow a pair and prove yourself when money IS an object... motivate lesser players... find gems from lower leagues, but that never works does it

OH wait a minute.... ask Paul Heckingbottom and Eddie Howe etc.... they must be doing it allllll wrong .

I don't think it's a typical man utd attitude, it's a typical premier league attitude. Entitled to a guaranteed career as a coach based solely on their ability as a player

    Very.

Neville, hasselbaink, Ferdinand, ince, Campbell, they're all the same. 'I was born with a talented foot. I DEMAND a career as a coach.

Give me hassell, hecky, devaney and co any day

Didn't see him as a good player, and he's been a failure as a manager. So his arguments are invalid

    Imho

Haislebank is not doing a half bad job... and at least he started on a lower rung of the ladder in his management career.. so I have some respect for him at least.

I'd rate him as a good player but certainly not a top class player

Similar to Wayne Rooney, Man United will convince you he's world class, but there's a reason Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus etc would have never gone near him.

Yep he's not achieved anything in the game has he. I find the English public's need to slam Wayne Rooney at any opportunity just odd.

It does my head in. It was the same attitude that some had when Giggs was being touted as the next united boss.

It's not all down to ability though. How many appearances did Salgado, Guti & Helguera make for Real during the Galactico's era for example? Neville was every bit as good as them.

Neville was a leader, a 7 out of 10 every week type of player, a standard setter in the dressing room & had an almost perfect understanding with his centre backs & Beckham in front of him.

Gary Neville was the best full back of his generation. Stick you Roberto Carlos' up your arse, proper defender who could attack aswell. Winners attitude too.

However, he needs to start again in the lower leagues. Fergie and Clough both started at the bottom and that is no coincidence.

Does work sometimes - We did OK with Clarke and Hunter who were both top class internationals in their prime but I think far more top players fail as coaches than succeed. Often is the lesser players who really had to work at their game that make the better managers
