I agree too - first time I've heard him. He reacts like a fan does. I just loved the way he made that roar as Torres went clear on goal and then his reaction afterwards. Not afraid to criticse either (e.g. Terry for not apologising over the sending off). I think it's refreshing to hear a new commentator who knows what he's talking about and seems to really enjoy what he's doing. Far more likeable as a pundit than as a player.
Agreed, could not stand him as a player (arrogant attitude) . But since taking Andy Gray's job, he his winning me over.
Hes as annoying now as ever he was.. classic load of rubbish last night from his annoying mouth after Barca had scored ..this changes nothing ........sorry Gary the first Barca goal changed EVERYTHING...from Chelsea NOT having to score they..now had to score...he should team up with Ron Atkinson I would then watch the game in silence...
I love his commentary too, and because of his honesty and passion is suddenly my favourite co-commentator. You just don't hear anyone else like him unfortunately.
He explained what he meant. Before the game Nev said he thought Chelsea had to score to go through (as did Di Matteo), so nothing had changed in that context, Chelsea still needed to score a goal.
Not struck on Redknapp, although he is nice to look at! I like Gary Neville and Niall Quinns ok too. Hope they have Niall Quinn on for Man Utd V Man City and not Mike Summerbee, then again if City lose it would be funny to see him combust and show himself up like he has done in the past true bitter blue style.
PMSL!! I always look at Hoddle / Souness when Redknapp is talking, and you can see the look on their faces as if to say ' WTF is this dick on about?'.
This is quite funny, sure there'll be better in the days to come http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBhlVVpBV_c&feature=related
How funny is that?!! Looks like Youtube has got about 10 different versions of the same thing going. Brilliant.
I'm surprised so many people in this thread say that they like him. From what I'd seen on Facebook/Twitter I'd assumed he was universally hated as a pundit. I've given up on sky sports so haven't really seen a great deal of him in action.
I'm mixed on Gary Neville, what he says is fine, it's just his voice that is annoying! Could be worse though - let's hope Carragher or Gerrard are never given Sky contracts!
