Oh dear oh dear. Not going very well for him over there is it. He'll be back with Carragher within 3 months. Stood in front of a smart screen, telling us what all the managers are doing wrong..
He may become a decent manager but going to Spain as hid first job is career suicide. Different language to the players. Have no idea why he took it.
I can totally understand why he took it. I totally don't understand why Valencia thought he was the best man for the job though. Also pretty disrespectful to all the other managers out there, who have cut their teeth and earned their stripes.
One of their directors is involved with that Mancunia club that the class of 92 are involved in, isn't he? Is it Salford? But aye, I can't see how he can go back to Sky if he flops in management. But then, it hasn't stopped others....
No way. Sky is a breeding ground for failed managers and those who haven't got the b0llocks to go out and do the job. It's like rehab. They'll lap him up.
trevor francis doing who'ford chelski game? not sure how he'd have played in todays game, but judging by his comm, rhyl would think twice
Can't blame him for going there and fair play for having a go abroad. But from the outset it seemed a totally wrong fit. He's inherited a very average squad, at a club going through a pretty rough period, but still a club big enough to have high expectations. Throw in the fact that it's a different language and culture and it's a very tall order. The Mestalla is not the most forgiving stadium when things are going against Valencia and with him being a wildcard appointment, heavily due to the owner being associated with Salford FC, Neviile really needed a good start. But hey, he had the balls to go and try it and fair play to him for that. He could probably pick up another job in England at a decent club and I would still respect him as a pundit.
"You see teams go to the Nou Camp and get beat 5, 6, 7-0. Barca are a good side, well they're a great side. But if I was involved in a team that got 7-0 there I wouldn't be able to look my family in the eyes anymore" Garry Neville 15/04/2015
