Connell for me. Was absolutely everywhere and I reckon if people watched it back they'd see just how much good work he actually did. Brilliant player. Norwood close second
It should be renamed "Player of the season (other than Luca Connell)" That said, Norwood pushed him close. Binjuicetastic.
Me too. Very little between them, but thought Connell's return was vital to the overall flow of the team.
Norwood for me, although can see why Connell will get plenty of nominations. At full fitness, the workload Norwood puts in, on and off the ball, shows him as a leader by example. Two good feet, a good header of the ball, and a pain up the ar5e to play against. I also think he's the most natural finisher we've got, that was a class goal tonight.
Luca Connell is the best player in our team by a country mile. He’s unbelievable. Norwood takes the headlines with a goal and assist - Connell being there makes it all happen. If I could vote for both I would tonight - as I can’t, it has to be Luca. Had he not been ill on Saturday I’d say we’d have got a couple more points than we have.
Norwood for me - model centre forward play, goals, assists, pain in the backside for them, headers, lay-offs, ran and ran and drove us on pressing from the front. On another planet tonight, enough to have Pompey crying into their bin juice. Great to have Connell back - that midfield three is now in a great position where the sum is greater than the parts and the parts aren't too shabby on their own either. Mentions for Mads, Jordan and Thomas (B) in dispatches.
Connell for me just edging Norwood. Shout out to Anderson as well. He was the only one of the back 5 that didn’t seem to have a brain fart & be overcome with complacency at any point in the game.
Connell is the best player in the league by a clear distance. I'd still give it to Norwood tonight though.
Felt to me like Andersen was at least partially at fault for theirs, but then I'm not seeing many other people saying it so I could be wrong. Whisper it, but sometimes I am!
Both Mads and Thomas appeared to think the other was covering him. And both left a large gap which ultimately left him totally unmarked in between them. It was poor, but more than covered by the performance of everyone else and ultimately the score line
