Tough game against dirty opponents made harder by a ridiculous miss and a dubious sending off. Still at this stage of the season results are all that matter.

Easy win for Luca who looked the best player on the pitch to me.

The match sponsors gave it to Nicky Cadden about fifteen or twenty minutes after he’d been sent off; whilst he didn’t deserve the red card in my eyes he didn’t deserve motm either as I can’t see how anybody could fail to see that Luca Connell was a country mile ahead of everyone else on the field in terms of ability.

We are so much worse without him. I did see someone criticise Duff for bringing him off - but in fairness with those little monitoring bra top things they wear it flags up on the laptop on the bench when they hit the ‘red zone’ in terms of fatigue and at high risk of muscle strain injuries - so given how well he was playing and the need we had to see the game out, I’m assuming that was why he was subbed as he couldn’t risk losing him.

Anyway, probably wrong thread for that. Motm was Luca Connell. By a street.

Funnily enough, just before it was announced I actually said I'd have gone for Cadden had he not been sent off. It's gone under the radar how Influential he has become for us in my opinion.

The left hand side worked well yesterday, the right hand, not so much. Phillips and Williams had their worst games for us this season, yet, we still won.

If you dont think it was Connell, can i just point out that the national Kabbadi league started last weekend and it might be more to your enjoyment.

Caddens final ball is the thing that lets him down. His crossing is pretty awful. I do like his attitude and his ability to transfer us from defence to attack quickly.
