Paul Gascoigne was given a talent many BBS posters and other footie fans can only dream of. That talent with a football came at the cost of any common sense, intellect or knowledge of reasonable behaviour. He is another footballer (past and present) who would have been jail bait, dead or habitual criminal if not for football.
I have very little human empathy or compassion towards Gazza as he has earned more than I can dream of in my lifetime and squandered every opportunity given to him to straighten himself out.

Chose to live a life in full public view, too much money too young and women and hangers on throwing themselves at him. Alcoholism and depression in the male working force of this country aged 30 - 45 with increased numbers committing suicide is more worrying than Gazza!

Hope he gets the help he needs but he also needs to help himself.

Two examples of not-so-nice tabloid journalism setting the agenda... ONE, interview an associaste of Gazza and note that he makes a comment on Gazza's possible death if he keeps drinking.... headline it Gazza close to death, everybody reads it. TWO, interview a ALI's brother, note that he says Ali could die in a couple of days or months... headline it Ali close to death and his wife is not allowing his brother to visit him. Everybody reads it....

Own up.. who buys this newspaper?

Which newspaper has the integrity these days? it wouldha been The Times for a century. Then it was The Guardian?. Yorkshire Post?..... What paper should a bloke read if he could resist the Telegraph?
