Geek Post: Combining a broadband and 4G connection

    I didn't actually think this was possible but using a programme called 'Connectify' I've managed to combine my broadband and the 4G connection on my phone, this is the result:

    Pretty insane really, the upload speed is about the same as Virgin Media only but adding the phone has put about 25 megabits onto the download speed. By my reckoning this makes the download speed 5245 times faster than the first time I ever connected in about 1995 using a 28.8kbps modem. (and to be fair it was rare to actually connect at the full speed, was more like 25.0kbps on average.)

    Back then the internet still seemed something of a toy for the uber-geek where the actual content seemed to revolve around the internet itself. (a bit like CB radio where all people talked about was CB radio). How things have move on.
