Did anyone see that last night/this morning? I was out running over the tops from about half four to seven this morning, I've never seen anything like it.
I got home to be corrected by my missus; they're not shooting stars you idiot!

I'm more impressed that you're out running that early! How far do you run? I've not been out for a couple of weeks, just lacking motivation atm.

I do about 25 miles every weekend, whatever the weather I'm out early Saturday and Sunday. Home in time for my kids getting up.

While a 'meteor shower' is one way of describing what you witnessed, it's equally accurate to call them shooting stars. A shooting star is anything that enters the earth's atmosphere from space and burns up producing the streaks of light you saw last night.

Mostly little bigger than a spec of sand.
