ive a number of family members/ friends who fit into the general sale catergory. what happens if cardiff sell out and we have 4000 tickets left which would normally go on general sale?? is the fa rule saying they cant go on general sale for fear of cardiff fans coming up and buying them? why not just say you need proof of address / evidence of being a barnsley fan?? anyone know the truth??
That is what it is saying. If Cardiff sell out and you aren't either a season ticket holder, centenary soc member or Ipswich stubber then you get no ticket (even if we only sell 20,000).
deep joy. they could have played it at villa park if thats the case. i was under the impression both teams got 33k tickets, and if those were sold, they can ask for another 10k each. fill wembley is the general idea isnt it?? obviously not.
all bfc has to do is insist on prove of address and they could sell as many on general sale as possible. its unbelieveable.
I remember similar in 2000 for Ipswich They did not call it General Sale Any remaining tickets were sold to fans on production of ANY previous ticket stubs, match day programme, or proof of residence in the Barnsley area.
yep true that general tickets will not be sold if cardiff sell all their tickets, but think cardiffs average attendance is only about 12-13,000, so probably only have 8-9,000 season ticket holders, so perhaps this scenario will not arise! ridiculous situation nonetheless
