    daughter and grandson been doing it while camping at Holme Firth this school holiday,said kids had a whale off a time hunting for hidden treasure just wondered if any BBSers had any experience of it .Totally new to me but seems a great idea and cheap to do

    I've done it a few times, theres quite a few down on the dearne, and alot around the wetlands centre. ideal in the summer!

    Yeah, quite a bit in the past. Affectionately referred to a 'tat hunting'.

    One problem I have is that some folk put the caches in some god awful places, right dumps. They should be in places people want to go, places of beauty or interest. There are some excellent series caches available (one brilliant set in Tatton Park that's great for kids) that are very inventive and catch your imagination.
