How's he getting on in the first team? Heard a few mentions in match reports that seem quite positive

He's done ok considering his age but he gives away a lot of passes, i dont mind him playing when no other options at left back but we need to bring in a better option

Think he's played more game time than is ideal considering his age etc, but acquitted himself well. Not been helped by formation at times, but imho lad's a good prospect.

I like him needs to learn to choose his passes a little better i@m happy for him to be in first team in a transition season so he is up and running next year as first choice.

He`s use to players showing for the ball, not leaving him with three men and no outlet, only to go it alone. Some time the players that are being passed to are at fault for being statuesque and not moving to meet the ball unlike their markers.

He`s done Okay but not as good as Bree and Holgate so far IMO, but plenty of time on his side. Just hope the new guy continues with some of our own youth.

I think he is doing OK all things considered - better than Nyatanga or Tom Kennedy ever were - not as good as a fit Dudgeon was but he is only young and shows promise
He can tackle, pass and looks decent going forwards. Makes the odd mistake but then so do all the centre halves

Doesnt look yet to be in the same class as Stones or Holgate but I think is easily good enough for this level as long as not overused and could easily be good enough for the Championship in a couple of years.

Great attitude hope he doesnt learn a different attitude from the likes of Cranie and Nyatanga

Looked good at Crawley, especially first half, linking up well with Lalcovic, pushing forward and getting in a few crosses.

Disappointed that he was taken off in the second half to allow for Nyatanga to move to left back.

Better as a left sided player than the likes of Lewin Nyatanga, Tom Kennedy, Kevin Donovan and Paul Gibbs.

Not as good as a left sided player as the likes of Darren Barnard, Matty Appleby or Neil Thompson.

Good prospect and when he came on against Fleetwood he put a good half a dozen really decent crosses into the box. We looked much better with him on.

Great to hear, left back has been the problem position in recent years so hopefully he can make the position his own.

Could be a blessing in disguise that he hasn't burst onto the scene, just look at Digby and RNL. Would love to see Bree, Ramage, Holgate and Smith in defence next year, it would have the potential to be one of the best defences in the division.

Weirdly for a kid he seems to be solid defensively but not so great in possession of the ball.

Even if his passing is a bit suspect he can definitely cross a goal & should've had an assist in the last home game as Kane Hemmings decided to try & kick a perfect head height cross

Good prospect but too early for him to be playing week in week out. Wastes too many balls some due to no help from his team, but just as many unforced misplaced passes. He will come good with time and the right exposure. I fear that not having any alternatives at LB now it could be detrimental to his development and too much expected of him too early.

I really like him. When they brought him on other week (was it Fleetwood?) he took more folk on Dow the flank in 30mins than TK, Lewin have in 200odd combined games for tarn.

Why dont you just ask your mates who are not Barnsley fans ?
You seem to value their opinions very highly on other matters !!

But their opinions mean jack **** if they are not Barnsley fans !
Also if you go to watch Barnsley you would know how well George Smith was doing instead of just hearing a few mentions in match reports ! Or did you turn against Wilson by not going to Oakwell ?

I'm at University in Preston so i've been unable to go since the Middlesbrough FA Cup game but i've watched highlights and read other people's views and I remember from the orient and boro games how boring it was and it hadn't changed from what I heard and what I saw.

I went to Preston. Barnsley is 50 miles from my home.

Excellent mate. You'll be able to give us loads of opinion based on what you've been told/read. Looking forward to it.
