I think George takes an unfair amount of flack from our fans when we've had a poor game. I don't think he's a world beater and we've been spoilt a bit of late with the quality of young defenders coming through of late, but I think he could be more than good enough for this league with a bit of time.
However I think his biggest problem of all which is not necessarily in his control is that he has far too much of the ball. I'd like to see the stats on how many touches he averages when he plays as he forced seams to be on the ball. When we have three central midfielders in the side surely he shouldn't be our main out ball

He's going to be a good player with more experience and a bit more confidence when attacking .

I'm glad you feel he doesn't deserve as much flak then proceed to give him some. Well done you.

I didn't realise he got any stick. I thought everyone liked him and were at a loss as to why he wasn't in the team at left back instead of Nyatanga.

For me he's defensively very sound and his passing has improved recently too but his attacking needs to improve. That will come with time

Not seen owt on here, but he was given some right hammer on twitter from 'fans' who'd apparently been at the game.

    Sadly.

If they are giving him stick then I can only presume he's **** away from home because he's impressed me in most of the games I've seen him in which have been at home

First time (yesterday) we haven't won this season when he's started the game. We're still unbeaten when he starts.

Don't like to single one player out Harris was poor wasted good attacks and final ball and end product wasn't good. Pearson wasn't good and if townsends moment of madness had cost us he would have been the one sigled out others may of seen it different to me all about opinions I like Watkins though created the 1st goal with good work on the right and was always wanting to make things happen.

    Interesting that.

I really rate him as a defender. Think he's solid. Bit of work on his passing & crossing & I think he can be a quality player for us.

I think he's one of them that's not good enough to make it at the top level but he's going to be easily good enough for us so hopefully we'll have an academy lad that actually stays for a while & makes 100+ appearances for us.

That's what I hope. He's no John Stones but easily good enough for us in league 1 and hopefully eventually the championship. Could turn into a Bobby hassell type player - here's hoping!

Agree with that. Harris' end product is woeful. Quite a few times he cut inside, then blazed a shot into the corner stand. Smith wasn't all that bad, but I'm not convinced he's good enough.

Sorry, he did, you're spot on. Played left wingback. Worra wally.

I like Smith. Great young player who I can see playing a coup,e of hundred games for us. I don't understand any negative comments towards him. He never goes missing and gives his all
