    Centre forward played his best football on loan to us 2 seasons ago from Stoke has been freed. Still only young 6' 5"
    Ok not the fastest but big and strong potentially a good foil for Bradshaw, also could use his height and strength to hold the ball whilst the team have respite from constant pressure or for the attacking midfield 5 to get into forward positions. I would give him a contract reviewing his pay every half season on his progress.
    Over to you fellow Barnsley fans for your thoughts.

    I thought he was great for us, but I think the last 2 years since haven't aided his development and I reckon he'll be destined for league 2. He's the sort of player we might here more about in another year or 2 though considering he gets the right move now.

    I reckon all of us on here could believe he was the best striker in the Championship - but it Hecky thinks he's not much good then he won't be coming to Barnsley - so why bother even discussing him as a potential player when there is as much chance that he will be playing for Crewe?

    Depending on his wage demands I certainly think he'd be worth a contract as a squad player. I thought he played really well on loan here, but unfortunately I cannot comment on him since that spell as I haven't seen him. His goal stats do him no favours though.

    Liked him when he was on loan here and I thought he did a good job for us in L1 but not done much since his loan with us and do not think he is good enough for the championship.

    Much rather take McBurnie

    But did those teams have a guru like Hecky in charge? I thought he looked a grafter and if Hecky can get the best out of him I think he would be worth a shot. Could see Bradders feeding off him .....
    Must be gutting for a player to be released, so it would be a shot in the arm for him to get lined up somewhere else.

    It's a yes from me.

    In other words ......
    Not as tho Crewe are in the Championship - but why big him up when he could easily end up playing for one of our Championship competitors - including teams like Leeds or Sheffield United

    Patrick said at a fans evening ages ago that he has some severe fitness issues, he hardly trained when he was with us because if he trained he couldn't play. Was seen as too much of a gamble.
