Didn't see him on the opening day at Chesterfield but thought he was superb today, especially first half. Likewise Bree.

Considering he is supposed to be a right back he was terrific

He did very well. Nothing spectacular but did what he needed to and did it get well!

He's got a chance to have a run in the team now with White out for 2-4 weeks so hopefully he can make the most of it

So happy for him. He's one of the players who we've plucked from the non leagues who actually has shown some sort of promise (as has Roberts too to be honest). I also didn't go to Chesterfield but from what I've seen of him he looks a very handy player. Put in some exceptional tackles today and ran his blood to water. Probably not the most attacking, but he did his defensive duties incredibly well.

Over the moon for the lad.

Reminded me of Joe Joyce today. And for you younger people, I can assure you that's a big compliment.

Massive well done to the two full backs, especially George playing on his weaker side, did nothing spectacular but did what they needed to.

Yep he did well - grew in to the game and I heard him bossing Hammill about when we had set pieces to defend

    Keep it up George!

I made the same comment to my mates. Only one of them was old enough to remember Joe. With Roberts on doing the long throws I thought I'd had a flashback to a former era...

MOTM for me today. Didn't put a foot wrong, cleared one off the line, playing in an unfamiliar position, superb. There were more eye catching performances, but no one more dedicated to that task. Well played mate.

About time he got his chance. Shame it was just because of an injury and being unable to recall Smith. Did alright out of position, although should have stopped them scoring on the post he was protecting. Cleared the line well and stood his ground when he needed to. Hopefully the start of a long run in the team.

I was worried when I saw him in the starting line up instead of White.

No need to worry, he put in a great performance.

My MOTM today as well a difficult game in an unfamiliar position and he showed application and quality throughout.
