Just purchased a couple of tickets for the September Euro 2016 qualifier in Frankfurt.

I hear these two countries have a bit of a history?

I'm going to Scotland with my Polish workmate in October to watch Polska beat Scotland. It's going to be messy.

I had planned on attending that with 2 of my Polish friends but I'll no longer be a resident in Scotland by then!

Lewandowski to stick it up his Bayern mates with a brace and a 2-0 win for Polska

I'm not a resident, but have you seen the scenes in the Polska end at away games? I can see me getting beaten up, locked up or drunk as ****. Hopefully just the latter, but Mateusz is a ******* lunatic, which is why I like him.

    R lass doesn't know I'm going yet.

There's a pub very close to Hampden Park called "the clockwork" - a bit like the Southside of Glasgow's version of Old No 7. Highly recommend it mate.

I was in Hampden the other week Whitey, it's an impressive stadium although much smaller than the original.
Imagine what its like with a few hundred Queens Park supporters in:)

Do they genuinely play there then? I always thought that would look weird.

I went to watch Poland v Germany in a pub in Brick Lane with a Polish mate of mine and learned then how much the Polish hated the Germans. Actually, his missus, who I worked with, was the sister of Gerry Ryan, who played for Brighton in the 83 Cup Final. Had a couple of sessions in his pub in Haywards Heath. Good bloke. Had Zico's shirt above the bar. But I digress.

Seems like a perfect thread to start my BBS posting on.
Yeah there is a lot of rivalry between the Poles and Germans, I was at the reverse fixture when the Poles won 2-0
I think the hatred for Russia is a lot more present than the one with the Germans nowadays though!
