    Lucky his groin lasted long enough to play the vital Liverpool game

    Also lucky for his club that he will only miss 2 club matches - if it had happened any other time he would have missed 4 or 5 matches

    Unlucky for England though now no chance of playing the dream pairing of Lampard and Gerrard in midfield
