There lying, it's not true.... It's a smoke screen for Bruce Dyer to go there!!!!! Come on Young Nudger, you must have a negative quote
so correct me if i am wrong those moaning about transfers etc Our summer dealings have gone along the lines of.... The club waited until colgan signed a new contract before selling Flinders to ensure we had a keeper. (Sounds sensible to me) They then sold the 1 player we had, who we could get some serious money for and wasn't essential to the 1st team. (again sounds sensible) We are now using this money to finance new buys (and probably pay off some of our debt). 2 signings in 2 days. (Again sounds sensible) all in all seems the club have done a good job
RE: so correct me if i am wrong those moaning about transfers etc Wont deny, last week I was abit unsure about our lack of signings but stated give it a couple of weeks. It may be quiet from where we look into the club, but appears AR and GS are working heavily behind the scenes. 2 or 3 more and I will feel even happier!
Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster He should have shown more respect for the club he has been with for so long A leaf out of Danny Wilsons book would have been better Although it was a disaster Danny leaving us and going to our nearest rival he left saying something like this...... "it wasn't a difficult choice to sign for Sheffield Wednesday it was a difficult choice to leave Barnsley"
RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster I don't think most of Donny fans give a toss what he said to be honest...there just glad to be shut because he's been bad mouthing Donny since an altercation with him and Penney. Now he's a tyke though, Richie needs to clamp down on him from the start (and I think Richie will do). He can be out of this world and win games for you, but he'll be looking to go higher and if Barnsley doesn't match his ego, that's when he'll start throwing toys from the pram. My only concern, and I say this as someone who follows Barnsley occsionally, is that he was offered to Derby after his loan spell, but they did not want him, and he's since been touting himself around other clubs. I think Barnsley could, and should have taken him on a 3 month loan with an option to buy. That way if it didn't work out the money could have been used elsewhere.
RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster If you listen to those on here working to their own demented agenda, then Ritchie is soft with the players. - He isn't, I can assure you. McIndoe will shape up or **** off. Ritchie and Holden have built up an excellent team spirit and I genuinely don't think they'd risk it by signing someone who'd jeopardise it.
That said, he's in with some lads who like to 'relax' so he may be at home. Hic.
Looking from the outside it seems recently that Penney's had conflict with a few - is that just his way of getting rid of who he doesn't want or is he a stroppy get ?

RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster Penney is very headstrong, he rules the roost, and if he wants rid, he'll get rid regardless of who they are. I'd be very surprised if Richie is soft. I wouldn't like to tackle the guy. If McIndoe produces what is capable of day in day out, he'd be at Celtic or some premier league club. Barnsley have bought a player who is capable of great skill. Against Arsenal, and particular Aston Villa, he was the best player on the pitch bar none. But the following games you wouldn't believe he was on the pitch. He's that kind of player. If Barnsley struggle in League 1, I don't think Macca will die for the cause, he'll go off on one. I only wish Donny had Devaney, because for my money Devaney was the best player in the league last season. Macca, can do a Devaney, but not consistently. I think also at Donny, he rocked the boat. I don't think other team members liked him, and towards the end it was a bit of a nightmare for him.
RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster Have we been relegated already Viking!!?? If Barnsley struggle in League 1, I don't think Macca will die for the cause,
Dearne Valley Viking Whats all this crap Ryan is peddeling about Barnsley being Donnys most fierce rival We are not !!! There are very few TARN fans in Donny and there are very few Donny fans in't TARN Both Donny and Barnsleys main rivals are Leeds and the Sheffield clubs I wish Donney well and when the new stadium opens I think they will nearly fill it every game Could you relay this message on to your message board
RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster he will supply ball into the box with a good left foot may struggle agianest a good defender can knock the penaltys very well lets just hope we get a few.
RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster Devaney's been known to go awol !
On the face of of it we've now got 2 world beating widemen. If they can be arsed....

RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster think the manager is a top class motivator and will get the best out of each of them OR words will be had (furious) (pint) (popcorn)
RE: Good signing.......but a shame what he said about Doncaster Freudian slip on my part maybe. He knows how to take a penalty, and his skill can create a lot.
RE: Dearne Valley Viking Totally disagree with you Young Nudger. Last couple of seasons Donny and Barnsley were at each others throats big time, probably more so than any other teams in the league. A lot of space was taken on both forums slagging each other off but it's not detrimental to either team. This season will be different, you'll have Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday monopolising your board, and we'll have to make do with Scunny and Rotherham.
Well done AR and GS Great signing. We now have a left winger (we've been playing right wingers on the left) and I think it is a significant improvement on Shuks, although I was a fan. Good work Andy.
