Just for the Hayes haters, I think I just heard Dave Cooper say Hayes was our best player first half, and they have both played a part in the goals.

But it doesn't matter as long as the team are winning, c'mon Reds. This is a banana skin that in the past, we'd have been 2-0 down. Just finish the job boys.
I'd settle for us winning 2-0 and the goals coming from midfield every week.

I would like to know how many assists Hayes has had this season, or how many moves he's been involved with thats resulted in a goal.

no matter how many assists or good games he has he will be judged by the number of goals he scores.

Yea a striker is looked at by his goals more than his assists

Why? If the midfielders are chipping in with the goals and were going into christmas in the top 6 with a very good goal difference. Whats the difference, Shuker 6(?) goals Hayes 5(?) goals or Hayes 11(?) goals. Would this make our league form posistion any different. More of the same lads, playing as a team.

It will come with Hayes iam sure.

Blind people that think he's useless as apposed to people like you with selective vision who can only see the few things that he does right. He is not in the top 20 goal scorers in League 1, he is not in the top 20 for assists, he is 16th in the list of shots taken. Dean Windass has had as many shots on target as Hayes has had in total. Out of 34 shots taken, he has scored 5 goals and been involved in 3 others. Like it or not, he is not good enough!

Then hes added 2 more assists today.

We'll see at the end of the season. Which one of us will be big enough, if required, to admit that they were wrong I wonder.
Oh and how do you know that the stats aren't true? The Football League produced them, not me. Oh and just to rub it in, Dean Windass has also missed the target with more shots than Hayes has managed to produce in total.

Its not true because I've personally seen Hayes play a part in more goals than that.

"Assists" means the final pass, doesn't mean he hasn't played a part.
