Things would never have got to this point had he not left. His organisation and hard to beat mentality is exactly what this group of players need. Sure he'd come back from Scunny aswell... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We've had our best finish to a league season under Robins since 2001 I believe. But 18th in the championship is hardly an achievement really. Accumulated 1 more point in 2 more games than Dave Flitcroft did, and with a considerably larger budget. If we're talking about best managers we've had in recent years, Robins would rank behind Flicker for me.
But under Robins we actually looked like kicking on and progressing. Yes it wasnt always great, slick football and yes we probably had too many loans (when havent we recently?) but we were solid and hard to break down. That'd be lovely right now. We at times under him looked capable of making play off pushes and IMO had he been backed probably would have got us there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
you believe that robins would have A. got us in the championship play offs and B. he would leave Scunny tocome back here? WOW
Im not usually one for going back but ever since he left I've felt that we made a big mistake. I also think his approach is exactly what this side needs right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
not that i need to as it should be plainly obvious to all but il humour you. A. The current owner placed him on gardening leave B. The current owner sold his best player and captain C. The current owner refused to give him the proceeds of said sale to find a replacement E. Mark Robins felt he could no longer work under those conditions set by the owner F. conditions that he was very well renumerated for i may add G. He's employed at a club who seem from the outside to be stable and not full of basket cases H. That club have a fair chance of finishing higher in the league than us I. Never go back
Funded by Paddy Cryne. I read that Garry O'Connors wages were coming directly from Paddy's pocket. Threw the teddy out when he wasn't allowed more money. Good riddance in my opinion. We need a new chapter with a new manager.
