    Yeah it's all Togwell's fault.

How many goals are you expecting Togwell to score then?

I would have thought Mostto and Odejayi and Macken are more probable scorers than Togwell, but hey lets blame a defensive midfielder !

Yesterday was my first away game for years, probably Wolves 4- Reds 1 when they were so poor I decided never to go away again. Although they were far better than that yesterday there were still a number of faults. The most important is that they cannot keep the ball. Keeping the ball starts with the defence. If they win it and simply crash it into the distance, then they should know that it is coming right back. Yesterday I noticed that even with simple headers that were unchallenged, they simply went for distance instead of trying to find a colleague. The 2 worse culprits were Nyatanga and Werling. Sadly, Togwell also follows this principle. He works his guts out to win the ball back and often as not spoils his hard work by kicking it long.
The second problem as I see it is that we do not have any pace in the forward line. This allowed the opposition to play a high line, condensing play when we have the ball. Macken looks no better than all the other forwards we have played with Ferenczi.
We lost players at freekicks and corners time after time throughout the first hour dominated by Wolves. They spread their threat across the box whereas we had our players in a tight group when we got chances at the other end.
I watched Howard lose his player who went on a run into our box. Souza had to leave the player he was marking to meet the challenge. Foster went to mark Souza's man which lest their left winger unmarked. JCR made the tackle, but it made me wonder exactly what protection the defence receives from Howard. I know that Howard is our best player on the ball, but he is a long way from the perfect midfielder.

So that is Nyatanga, Werling, Togwell, Macken and to a lesser degree Howard rather than just Togwell.
