Don't know if you'll read this mate, but we're all thinking of you pal. I wish some Barnsley players would show such commitment to the cause as you... Sorry we couldn't win the damn thing for you, we'll all just have to go back next year and do it! We'll try and delay and trip to Milan until you get fit buddy. Take care Al.
EEE I dont know, i leave you lads to play one game and it all goes to pieces. Only kidding guys i just want to thank everyone for the messages ive received over the past 12 hours, it just goes to show that there are still some decent folk left in this world especially seen as ive only known you lads for a short time and never even met the big lils but your sympathy was nice to read thank you. After the ambulance wizzed me off to the Leeds General yesterday i sat there for 4 hours only to be told that there was no radio-ographer working so my x rays would be annalised tomorrow (Monday) and i would be contacted if i needed to be put into plaster. They strapped me up and gave me a big box of horse tablets and a pair of crutches and sent me home in quite alot of pain. Ripped ligaments and tissue damage to my ankle and pulled muscles in my calf was the official diagnosis until they check the x rays. Apparently its going to around 4-5 months before ill be able to play again but i reckon ill be back in half that time. On the footy front i would just like to thank all the lads for a great weekend and its just a shame mine was ended prematurely. Special thanks to Rob and Riley who carried me off the field cos i know im not the lightest of guys so cheers lads and ill hopefully catch up with you all soon. BFCBUB
All the best mate. This is the first chance i've had to reply to this and i couldn't make Sunday, but just wanted to say good luck in regaining full fitness. The team will miss your ability over the coming weeks. See you soon
RE: All the best mate. Cheers lads much appreciated, allthough i have just realised that im now going to be able to sit at home and watch england thump the convicts over the next few weeks rather than be at work, so every cloud and all that....
RE: All the best mate. I have no idea who you are, but good luck in making a full recovery, must be bloody painful! On a lighter note, any fit nurses that caught the eye?
RE: All the best mate. Cheers pal and no unfortunately i struggled to find a nurse that actually spoke english never mind any fit ones!!
