    His condition is "life threatening" in a statement from the hospital.

    He had an emergency operating on his skull too.

    yes, FM gets a lot of stick from people because he drives for Ferrari but you cant be a bad driver to driver for them.

    Statement from Ferrari just been read on SSN

    Says he's still in a stable condition with no further developments during the night. He fractured his skull in 2 places and will undergo a further CT scan later today which they hope will give further information.

    If that spring hit him a few inches away

    it would have gone straight through his visor and killed him.

    Still a dangerous sport despite all the safety improvements.

    hope he comes through it ok, seems like a decent bloke and good sportsman.
