At least we'd see some decent football instead of the W*nk, pathetic, inept pile of crap we are seeing week to week now.

    Stop it

Davey has all the qualifications we need to stay up and the players all receive a dossier on the player they are marking!

Yes, I know I am being sarcastic, but I like Davey and I do think that at this moment in time there is no one better to manage us. We could not afford any of the so called 'big names' and Davey is now in place. We simply have to back him and hope he and Kidd can change our fortunes.

Football is easy when you have all the info you need. ! lol

Come on, give Davey a chance. Today was pathetic, even when we managed to get the ball from them we could not hang on to it, but havng said that, it wasn't a rout and they were 3rd in the table

There are positives from today (I think!)

    Go on then what positives

is it the fact we only conceded 1 goal, Preston never ever got out of 1st gear today. Only did enough to win.

Yes, that's true, so whilst not what people want, given our situation, it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

    Valid point TT

The guys who ran Enron had a shed load of qualifications but it didnt stop em crashing the company.

One of my concerns is that since Davey took over as caretaker all we have seen are poor, pathetic crappy performances and not one bit of improvment.

I am usually behind the manager and club but I think we have dropped a right rickitt this time and need to put it right and quick cos I cant be arsed watching pub league footy again.

I really hope I'm proved wrong but gut instinct tells me that it will only get worse.

    Yes, that is one positive.

It could have been a rout!.

Mattis looked good. He got stuck in and he fought and tackled and his header almost went in

The Man Utd lad had sizzling pace and showed one or two god touches.

McCann looked good when he came on and got stuck in.

We played not to well, I admit, l against a top of the League side who have spent a lot of money, have a £6 Million player on their books and who have a squad with plenty of experince and yet, we kept them to 1-0 and Nugent didn't get a look in.

    There are always positives.

Hassell - superb. Top Player for us.

I know exactly what you are feeling...........

But we have no choice but to see how it all pans out.

I've booked my place for Luton next Saturday

Who knows it could all turn round. look at the blue pigs last year, they were in an even worse boat than us at this time of the year and they changed it round..........

    We can do it.

RE: I know exactly what you are feeling...........

I seriously hope you are right and Davey proves my instincts wrong but not seeing anything game after game just makes me feel that the club have dropped a big un.

If you work it out Davey is now on a seriously bad run of losing games and how long will he get to change it....too long and we are down.

Qualifications mean nothing, Nigel Spackman, need I say more.

We've ditched a perfectly good manager, who could actually manage the players and who got us promoted and for what? So that the Chairman can select who we are going to sign? Sorry but I don't want to watch that sort of team, I want a proper manager, who knows about football, who is left to select the players he wants and build up a team, a team who want to play for each other and who have a great spirit and work ethic. I want a chairman who will back-up that kind of manager and not one who thinks he can do a better job. If a chairman wants to manage a football team then let him buya playstation rather thaninterferring in football matters.

Grant McCann, why wasn't he playing today?

Maybe because the Manager preferred his new signing MattisI

It's Davey's team now.......... or becoming his team.

."When they took on the caretaker role, the four loan players had already been appointed on the recommendation of the chief scout."
Taken from Owen`s report on the Supporters Trust Meeting. You were there, weren`t you????

    Winstanley

I think it would so us good to have Winstanley in as part of the coaching team. We played some brilliant football when he was assistant and he knows Barnsley FC inside out. He is a well respected figure who is respected by all involved with the club. He would be able to give Davey the advice he needs on motivation etc. but without threatening his authority, he spent years as assistant or coach.

If these are the players that were being offered to Ritchie then, I agree with him, it should be quality we improve not just squad numbers. I believed it when Shep said that Andy would not sign anyone, now you have to wonder if it was that he thought the players offered were *****.

I've thought that all along. Add that to the fact that we

never quite seemed to manage to sign the players he did want, put us in the bottom 3, IMHO.
