Here’s a chance to showcase your treasured Barnsley FC memorabilia and be part of something special! ⚪ The Barnsley FC Fan Advisory Board is teaming up with Parliament (our club sponsor) and the People’s Visual History project to create a new book celebrating the history of Barnsley FC through the eyes of the fans. They’re looking to professionally photograph fans’ memorabilia – whether it’s shirts, scarves, tickets, old matchday programmes, or anything else that tells the story of our great club. This is all about capturing the history of Barnsley FC through the items we’ve collected over the years. Want to get involved? It’s simple: Check out how it works here: People’s Visual History If you’ve got something special to share, sign up and get your memorabilia photographed or post in this thread and we will drop you a message. This is a brilliant way to help preserve Barnsley FC’s history and see your items featured in a professionally produced book. Let’s make sure the story of our club is told through the fans who’ve lived it!
This project is really worth supporting everyone. Whilst we have our disagreements on here, there's one thing for sure....and that thing is, we all care about the Club. Julian is a good lad. He is treating our history with care. I've seen his other work and if we can help him with his BFC project, the book will be a true and loving testament to our collective feelings about the Club. It's in our blood. Julian's work will illustrate that.
I looked at Julian's Sunderland 73 Cup Final photo book yesterday before the game when we were handing out flyers and talking to fans. It looks great. It would be fantastic to create something similar for Barnsley FC fans!
Jimmy Moore was friends with my Grandfather and gave him what he described as a “County Cap”. It’s maroon with “S & H C F A” and “1913–14” stitched into the cap. It was featured when BMBC held an exhibition a few years ago. I’ve heard that it was a county game against Scottish opposition but unfortunately can’t corroborate that. I’m happy to loan it and would welcome any further information about it. It’s quite a niche item from one of our FA Cup winners regardless.
Thanks. We dont need anyone to loan anything it would be more a case of making arrangements to photograph it and understand the story behind it
Yes.I have a copy and it would be a real delight if we could get our history and memories into a similar form. Big big thanks to Phil at Parliament for engaging Julian.
Please support this if you have anything at all personal and Barnsley FC related. I can guarantee that you will not regret it. The book will be a true gem so don't regret not getting in touch. He is a top bloke and will produce something special I am sure
